Dear Supporters,

As we welcome the warmth and renewal of spring, we are reminded of the resilience and strength that our community embodies. At Center for Domestic Peace (C4DP), we continue to stand strong so that women and children can stay safe. Your support is essential in providing critical services to survivors of domestic violence and ensuring they have access to the resources they need to rebuild their lives.

Jasmine’s Story

Let me share the story of Jasmine, a courageous 28-year-old mother of one boy, age 10. Jasmine came to us after enduring years of emotional and physical abuse at the hands of her partner. He used intimidation and manipulation to control her, often belittling her and isolating her from friends and family. The final straw came when he physically assaulted her in front of her son, leaving them frightened and traumatized. In that moment, Jasmine realized she could no longer allow her son to grow up in such an environment, where fear overshadowed love and safety.

With the support of our dedicated team, Jasmine found refuge in our emergency shelter. Beyond just providing a safe place to stay, we offered her counseling services to help her process the trauma and rebuild her self-esteem. We assisted her in navigating the legal system to secure protective orders and provided resources to help her find stable housing. Today, Jasmine is not only safe but is also working toward creating a nurturing environment for her son, free from fear. She has a new job and is focused on giving her son the loving, stable home he deserves.

Jasmine’s journey exemplifies the transformative impact of your contributions. Your generosity directly empowers survivors to reclaim their lives and futures.

The Urgent Need for your Support

However, we are facing significant challenges that threaten our ability to continue this vital work. Federal funding accounts for 24% of our budget, and with ongoing uncertainty surrounding these resources, we find ourselves in a precarious position. The potential loss of these funds could severely limit our programs and the life-saving services we offer to survivors like Jasmine.

This spring, we urgently ask for your financial support to help us navigate these challenges. Your contribution is not just a donation; it is an investment in the safety and well-being of individuals and families in our community. For every dollar you give, you are helping to provide essential services that protect and empower survivors, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to escape violence and build a brighter future.

Imagine the difference your gift can make:

  • Providing emergency shelter for a mother and her children;
  • Funding counseling sessions that help heal emotional wounds;

or

  • Offering legal assistance to those seeking protection.

Every dollar counts and makes a profound impact.
