Every day at Center for Domestic Peace, we witness extraordinary acts of courage. Survivors take powerful steps toward safety. Parents rebuild stability for their children. Community members reach out to support loved ones. This work is possible because you stand with them.

Your generosity plays a vital role in creating the conditions where survivors can thrive. This year, we have seen tremendous signs of strength across our community. As shared in our Equity Snapshot on the back of the Newsgram, Black/African American survivors achieved a 138% increase in access to housing and financial support and a 17% increase in engagement with legal advocacy, and Asian/Pacific Islander survivors more than doubled their participation in legal support services. Survivors aged 55+ increased engagement by 14%, reflecting growing trust and stronger pathways to care.

These gains highlight a community moving toward greater safety, belonging, and justice.

We are also expanding the ways survivors can enter our services. This past year, we introduced a fully low‑barrier, trauma‑informed shelter model, opening doors wider for survivors who historically faced barriers. Early results show increased stabilization through longer stays (42‑day average) and 71% of guests moving into permanent housing — powerful milestones made possible through your support.

Our Legal Systems Advocacy Program also grew in strength, offering 4,866 sessions and helping survivors navigate custody, safety planning, and protection. To deepen this support, we are welcoming a new staff attorney to expand justice access for survivors across Marin.

And as our community evolves, so does our connection to it. Through expanded drop‑in hours, stronger walk‑in access, and new partnerships across the Canal, Marin City, and West Marin, survivors from every background now have more ways to connect with care that honors their identities and lived experiences.

Our Spring 2026 Newsgram illustrates how your support helps thousands of survivors find hope, compassion, and guidance on their path to safety.
