October Newsletter: Domestic Violence Awareness Month: Learn, Engage, and Take Action

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a time to honor survivors, remember those whose lives have been lost to domestic violence, and renew our collective commitment to building safer, healthier communities.

Every day, Center for Domestic Peace provides emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, legal support, housing services, and prevention education for individuals and families throughout Marin County. This work is possible because of a community that believes everyone deserves to live free from violence.

While Domestic Violence Awareness Month is an opportunity to recognize the impact of abuse, it is also an opportunity to focus on prevention. We believe that ending violence requires more than responding to harm. It requires creating a culture rooted in respect, accountability, healthy relationships, and safety for everyone.
